Course Information
Co-sponsored by the American Chemical Society and the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists, this course is designed for pharmaceutical chemists, protein chemists, biochemists, bioanalytical chemists, and those involved in the formulation of protein or peptide drug products or their drug delivery systems. Learn about bioanalytical methods used in physicochemical characterization of protein peptides and pre-formulation studies, find out how to design and conduct stability programs for protein and peptide drug products, learn chemical modification techniques useful in the development of biopharmaceutical drug products, and more.

Susan Hershenson (Course Director) is Vice President, Vice President, Pharmaceutical and Device Development, Genentech and teaches as part of Formulation Development and Drug Delivery Systems.
 
Ze've Shaked  is currently the President and CEO of Evestra Inc. He was President and CEO of Spherics, Inc. Prior to that, he served as President of ILEX Products, Inc. and COO of ILEX Oncology, Inc. Dr. Shaked has held a number of senior R&D and corporate management positions at ImmuLogic Pharmaceutical Corporation, Triton Biosciences, Inc., and Cetus/Chiron Corporation. He has extensive experience in formulation development and delivery of therapeutics, including peptide-based drugs. He obtained his Ph.D. in bio-organic chemistry from MIT.
